Becca was a happy girl with curly brown hair in two pigtails. She wore a bright yellow dress with daisies and white sneakers. Today was special; it was her first day of school!

Becca felt butterflies in her tummy as she was leaving but she smiled at her mom, ready for her big adventure.

Becca walked into the classroom and saw colorful posters and a big, soft rug. Many children were playing and some were sitting quietly. Becca felt excited but a little nervous.

She took a deep breath and waved to a girl with red hair playing with blocks. The girl smiled back, and Becca felt happy inside.

Mrs. Johnson, Becca's teacher, welcomed everyone with a big smile. 'Today, we will learn about feelings!' she said. Becca's eyes lit up. She loved talking about feelings!

They played a fun game where they showed different emotions with their faces. Becca giggled when she made a silly face for 'happy.' It felt great to laugh and play with her new friends.

During lunch, Becca sat with the girl with red hair, named Lily. They shared sandwiches and talked about their favorite cartoons. Becca felt happy but a little shy.

When Lily asked her a question, Becca became nervous and her cheeks turned pink.

She remembered what her mom said about using her words, so she took a deep breath and said, "My favorite show is Bluey!"

As the day went on, Becca felt many big feelings. When she missed her mom, she felt a little sad.

But Mrs. Johnson noticed and came over. 'It's okay to miss your mom, Becca,' she said gently. 'Think of a happy memory, like when you play together.'

Becca thought of playing in the park with her mom and felt better. She learned she could manage her feelings with help.

At the end of the day, Becca felt proud. She had made a new friend and learned to talk about her feelings.

As she walked home with her mom, she shared all the fun things she did at school. 'I can't wait for tomorrow!' Becca said, her big brown eyes shining. She knew school was a place to grow and learn, and she was ready for more adventures.
